Human storytelling shapes our understanding of the world and connects us across millennia to preserve the beauty of existence. I entertain and embellish new mythologies through a traditional oil painting lens. In exploring my mixed ScandinAsian heritage, I examine NeoMedievalism and Pre-Raphaelite influences through the lens of Arthurian stories and Fairy tales.

Drawing influence from Medieval tapestries and contemporary illustration, my work encapsulates the essence of Magical Realism woven into the work through pattern, personal iconography and celestial symbolism. Through the medium of oil paint, I draw from the vast well of tradition in a contemporary and illustrative space to create new legends and folktales. My work divulges the intimate details of my lived experience, roaming the expanses of my creative landscape, inviting viewers to reflect and dive deeper into the fantastical nuance of invented narratives and symbolism.
